Diamond Tester Pen for Novice Jewelry Testing

Initialization Setup

To complete the initialization setup, follow these two steps:

First, check the room temperature and diamond size to determine the initial value of the test. Refer to the table on the back of the diamond tester pen for detailed information.

Second, adjust the wheel to set the initial value. For instance, if the diamond size is less than 0.05ct and the temperature is above 30 degrees Celsius, set the initial value as 7 by turning the wheel until 7 lights are illuminated. Failure to do so may result in inaccurate readings.

Two-Handed Operation

All tests must be conducted using two hands - one to hold the diamond and the other to operate the diamond tester. Ensure that the hand operating the diamond tester touches the electricity conductive panel at the back of the unit. Testing with only one hand can lead to incorrect results.

Cannot Distinguish Moissanite

Please note that this diamond testing pen is designed for basic use by amateurs and can only differentiate between diamonds and imitation gemstones. It cannot distinguish between natural diamonds and lab-grown diamonds (moissanite).

For Diamonds

When testing diamonds (including both real diamonds and moissanite), the tester will emit a low-frequency beeping sound (1 time/second) and illuminate at least 9 lights on the display. The number of lights will increase with the size of the stone.

Cannot Test Metal

Never attempt to test metal using this diamond tester pen.

Warm Notices

1. Ensure that the ambient temperature is above 10 degrees Celsius during use and power off the device when not in use.
2. Make sure the contacts on the diamond tester are pressed vertically against the surface of the diamond.
3. Avoid wearing gloves while performing tests.
